About Us

A personal note from our Founder: "There is a girl out there, My Day One, who is the inspiration for this brand. Ordinary but extraordinary, I am her first friend, and she will be my last. Wanting to celebrate my closest companion, I dipped into my “everything I love about you tank” as she calls it, and an idea was born: an ethically and locally manufactured streetwear label to honour this ethical and Australian-born girl, and all of My Day One's: my old friends, my new friends, my family, my partner in crime and those I wish I could have My Day One with all over again. I hope you thoroughly enjoy this labour of true love and that it gives you a way to celebrate all of your Day Ones’, too. As the Irish proverb goes, “A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find but lucky to have”. Australian Made

Our products are sourced from, and produced by, local Australian suppliers in order to support local businesses, and their people, particularly in the jet stream of recent unprecedented times, which affected everyone.

Domestic and International Shipping

Our courier of choice is Australia Post. We estimate shipping timeframes from the date of dispatch from the My Day One facility.

DOMESTIC ORDERS

Our standard shipping rate for orders below $100.00 is $12.00 AUD, and you can expect your order in approximately 3 to 5 business days from the time of dispatch.

Our standard shipping rate for orders above $100.00 is $6.00 AUD, and you can expect your order in approximately 3 to 5 business days from the time of dispatch.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Our standard international shipping rate for orders destined to our neighbours in New Zealand is $25.00 AUD, and you can expect your order in approximately 4 to 12 business days from the time of dispatch.

For the Rest of the World, our standard international shipping rate is $35.00 AUD, and you can expect your order approximately 14 business days from the time of dispatch.

We will do everything in our power to keep you appraised of any delays impacting Australia Post. In the event that your order is taking longer than expected to reach you, please contact Australia Post in the first instance using your tracking link. Please contact us if Australia Post has advised that your parcel appears to be lost or missing. We will investigate what has occurred.

Ethical Manufacturing

We are mad for ethical fashion manufacturing at My Day One. We have chosen products that are not only Australian Made but which are considered ethically manufactured due to meeting specific requirements and legal obligations through socially responsible and sustainable processes including proper remuneration, safe working conditions and compliance with anti-discrimination laws.

Garment Care

We put a lot of time into sourcing a fleece, which is manufactured and dyed in Australia. Wear and tear over time is inevitable, and dependent upon individual use.

To best care for your garment, please adhere to the following My Day One garment care protocol:

  • cold gentle machine wash
  • inside out
  • with like colours
  • using sensitive non-biological detergent
  • do not soak
  • do not bleach
  • rinse well
  • line dry
  • do not tumble dry
  • do not dry clean.

Philanthropy

With a passion for philanthropy, My Day One intends to work with not-for-profit organisations dear to our heart as we grow. Our beloved brand has a desire to assist with the protection and promotion of particular human rights affecting people of all socioeconomic backgrounds, and the alleviation of poverty associated with breaches of the specific human rights to which we refer. We look forward to sharing more about our initiatives in due course.

Returns

My Day One has a 7 day return policy from the date you receive your order. In the event you would like to return an item to us, please ensure the garment is returned to us:

  • unworn
  • as new
  • undamaged
  • with tags attached
  • including original packaging
  • with original customer name
  • and original customer order number.

Returns must be:

  • dispatched to us within 3 business days
  • with proof of return provided by email.

Unfortunately, My Day One is not responsible for:

  • return orders which are lost during the return process
  • items returned later than 3 business days
  • items returned that do not otherwise meet our conditions of return.

In relation to returned items:

  • we require 3 to 5 business days to process returns
  • a refund will be processed to the original method of payment used.

The above terms and conditions collectively constitute what we refer to as our Returns Policy.

Sizing

Please refer to individual My Day One products for a guide as to size.

Sustainability

Our products at My Day One are made to last thereby encouraging the purchase of fewer items of better quality, which positively impact the amount of:

  • raw materials used
  • energy and water expended in the context of production
  • pollution as a result of textile manufacturing, including dying, washing and residual waste in our waterways
  • landfill.

Our custom retail bags are:

  • eco-friendly
  • re-useable
  • made from cotton.

Our mailers are:

  • eco-friendly
  • re-usable.

Our inner packaging is:

  • made of home-compostable material
  • considered zero-waste.
